Peterson Acoustic Guitars

Materials Used

Soundboard woods:
Sitka Spruce
Engelman Spruce
Texas Cypress
Reclaimed Long Leaf Yellow Pine
Others upon request

Back and Side woods:
Curly Maple
Curly Mahogany
Indian Rosewood
Texas Mesquite
Texas Mountain Cedar
Others upon request

Bracewoods:
Sitka Spruce is used on most guitars, but I'm using reclaimed Douglas Fir for my Lone Star and Hill Country Editions. This wood is from a slab that came off one of my grandpa's work benches and is very tight and straight grained and probably about 75 years old. I have enough for about ten more guitars then it will be back to Sitka unless I come upon another interesting find.

Bindings:
I prefer all wood bindings including the following:
Curly Maple
Mesquite
Rosewood
Others upon request

Tuners:
I usually use the new Gotoh 510 Contour tuners in gold.

I will use other quality brands like Schaller, Grover or Waverly at the customer's request. These choices may require a modest upcharge.

Fingerboard and Bridge:
Indian Rosewood
Ebony
Mesquite for the Lone Star and Hill Country Editions
Others upon request
