Most Artistic Games

Graphics aren’t the most important aspect of a video game, but sometimes, the graphics can make a game a work of art. When you are gifted a game that offers eloquent and vibrant graphics can provide the player with a tranquil experience in regards to the game itself. In the last 5 years graphics in video games have come a long way, that said though, some of the ‘older’ titles still managed to provide us with some artistic game play. In regards to the graphics, some many strong strides have been made towards improving the level of immersion experiences by players in their games. Some of the older titles have been inspirations to the newer instalments and the way these games are designed is truly a work of art.

With virtual reality headsets such as Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR creeping their way onto the mark along with the appearance of 4K-ready consoles, games are now becoming works of art for the consumer to appreciate. With the money being pumped into the gaming industry, you’d be shocked to know the revenue that is consisting within the gaming industry. Unravel is like a cute puppy, the visuals are warm and loveable producing feeling like a giant blanker wrapping around our bodies. Although the game itself is very forgettable, the lovable protagonist is probably one of the more adorable gaming heroes out there at the moment. Its creators did a good job in crafting a blissful and heart-warming world around their character.

The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker

One of GameCube’s most popular games, the much loved franchise provided its players with beautiful cel-shaded artwork and gave us some lovely bold colours and a warm feel to the game. The game really jumps out at you and even in the darker, more morbid environments; the game still provides some exciting and vibrant art work.

Final Fantasy XV

The game has arguably the best-looking cutscenes ever seen in a game. The scenes featured a high level of quality that can relate to a multi-million dollar CGI-driven Hollywood movie. It opens world is also like anything seen in a game before. The world features unprecedented sense of scale containing an impressive environment producing Earth-like terrains and alien structures.

EL Shaddai: Ascension of Metatron

This game contain a surreal and psychedelic art design, it’s like something you’d see in a manga , it’s crisp and abstracted colour pallet really draws you in and the impressionist landscapes and industrial art makes this game a true art form.

Final Fantasy XIII

Another FF games to reach the list, but you can’t blame them, the entire franchise has been a work of art and the 13th addition is no different.  It boasts a vivid colours and magnificent art designs that feel like an animated show. It can be highly praised for it pre-rendered animation sequences and play the game will make you feel like you’re playing a interactive CGI animation.
